Seamurgh Poultry Company (SPC) is operating within the poultry sector of the country. Seamurgh’s business model assures that the company is not only a supplier of production inputs for the poultry farms, but it also serves consumer markets via supply of poultry byproducts. SPC is comprised of bellow units:

1. Trade Unit: imports, sales, and provision of services
2. Production Unit: SPC slaughterhouse – production of poultry byproducts
3. Farming Unit: Broiler poultry farming
4. Contracts Unit: Implementation of public and corporate contracts

SPC’s operations begin with sourcing farming inputs from notable international companies and domestic manufacturers. Part of the inputs managed by the Trade Unit are resold and part of them are channeled into farming.

SPC rears 200,000 birds in one rearing round of 1 month within its Farming Unit. The farming harvests generated by the Farming Unit are sent towards the slaughterhouse and the distribution centers along with procurements of live birds from other farmers.

SPC is run by a team of 81 employees and workers, and has active presence in Kabul, Ghazni, Gardez, and Logar markets. It has 15 sales shops in Kabul city and operates a fleet of 21 distribution mini trucks. SPC has strong backwards linkages with suppliers at a national level, and leading international companies based in UK, Netherlands, Turkey, Uzbekistan, China, and Pakistan.
